City of Belmont NAIDOC awards
The City of Belmont NAIDOC Awards program recognises the achievements of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students and community members who excel in their area of interest and help to build a vibrant and connected community.

NAIDOC Community Award
This award established in 2012, recognises the personal achievements of an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community member in sport, education, business, music, art, culture or community service, (such as emergency service volunteers, volunteer support personnel and industry groups across the community) over the previous 12 months.
Each year, the award recipient is celebrated with a plaque and a voucher at the City of Belmont Community Service Awards Dinner, which will be held on 6 December 2025.

Nominations for the 2025 City of Belmont NAIDOC Awards will open from
Sunday 6 July to Friday 31 October 2025. To nominate someone, please read and complete the awards guidelines and nomination form (which will be availble closer to the opening date), and send it to
[email protected] or return the completed form to the City of Belmont Civic Centre.

NAIDOC Student Awards
The City’s annual NAIDOC Student Award recognises an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student’s achievement during the previous 12 months.
The winners of this award receive a framed certificate of achievement and a book voucher, presented by the Mayor (or a Council representative of the City) at an event or assembly celebrating NAIDOC Week.
Nomination details
Nominations for the 2025 City of Belmont Student NAIDOC Awards will be open until Friday 13 June 2025. Participating schoools can nominate one Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student from any year by completing the nomination form using the link below.
